Why Edmonds CrossFit? Because we are CrossFit and CrossFit produces results! Really, that is the simplest and most straightforward answer we can offer. Since research shows that most people will not read any further than the first paragraph we could leave it at that. However, since we know that you may very well not be “most people”, we will offer a bit more. We are much more than just a “CrossFit Box”, however the Aims Prescription and Methodology of CrossFit are so powerful that they influence (to one degree or another) all the programs that we offer. Why? Because CrossFit works. CrossFit really only has one goal, and that is to increase performance. Any goal that you may have can be accomplished simply by working to improve your performance. Improved body composition, increased strength, speed, or flexibility, toning up, trimming down, cutting up, increasing muscle mass, improving health, improving mental focus, a better night’s sleep, decreased stress, a lower BP, a happier mental outlook. All of these things and more are simply byproducts of working towards the singular goal of increasing performance.

Our coaches

Our coaches are not rep counters, pin setters or treadmill intensity programmers. When they talk to you they are not going to tell you about their children, the barbeque they went to last Sunday or how much horsepower their new sports car has. When our coaches talk with you they are going to correct your form, encourage you, and push you; that is, after all, what coaches are supposed to do. Our coaches love their jobs and they care about you and whether or not you are able to attain your goals. That is why our coaches are constantly seeking education and self-improvement: in order to better help you meet your goals.


When you join CrossFit you get more than a workout: you also get training. Those are two very different things. You do not simply come and “do your own thing” and you are most definitely not “left to your own devices.” You will be trained and coached in proper mechanics and methodologies, and you will be consistently reminded of these things when you happen to forget.


You will be encouraged, motivated, and inspired by those around you. You will be asked, “How was your weekend? How is your family? How much did you hate yesterday’s workout?” You will make friends and you will have fun.

Constant improvements and personal results

Because our goal is to improve performance, you will constantly be getting better and better at everything that you do. Whether it’s running faster or further, lifting heavier loads, completing more reps, jumping higher or longer, you will notice the difference. Your personal results will continue to improve as your mind and body transform day after day.

Constantly learning new things

The basic CrossFit program draws from Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, plyometrics, gymnastics, kettlebells, running, rowing, biking, climbing and more. That’s just CrossFit; now add in opportunities to learn several styles of martial arts as well as sports training and you will never stop learning how to do more and more new and exciting things.

Carryover into life outside the gym

When you aren’t setting personal records or achieving new goals, you’re learning new skills, and this is an empowering thing! Whether it’s learning how to do a handstand, climb a rope, or achieve a “muscle up” inside the gym, this feeling of empowerment will bleed over into your daily life. You might find yourself learning or re-learning how to rollerskate, taking a cooking class, taking a shooting class, climbing a rock, or simply hoola-ing in a hoop.
